Are you a shareholder of CAMS? Or planning to make a position? If yes, then this post can be worth a read!
CAMS was listed on 28th September 2020 and as per SEBI guidelines, on completion of one year, stake holders can sell their stakes. So, IIFL private equity sold their stakes and booked huge profit.
For those of you looking for numbers - IIFL withdrew an amount of approx 350 crores from the stock, which led to a major decline ( more than 8% in a single day ) in the stock price.
Now, the question here is WHAT SHOULD WE DO NOW!
If you are already an investor in the stock, then keep HOLDing the stock.
WHY?
Ask yourself why you entered the stock. Is there any difference in the stock fundamentals? Has there been a change in the company's management? - NO!
So, why to worry! Just have patience and hold. You can infact average out, if the initial buying levels are high.
Now, for those who are thinking of making a new entry:-
Before buying any stock, you should know WHY you should buy. The strong business model, increasing revenues & profits every year and expected growth in the Mutual Fund industry and the monopoly of CAMS in the sector make it a worth buying stock. (Do check out the ROE and ROCE of the stock. You will be impressed by this company, if you aren't yet😄)
So, someone willing to enter can make a position once a reversal is observed, as the probability of gaining is high, from a long term perspective.
